Greetings Everybody,
Have you ever tried to have a conversation with someone in person or over the phone when you are angry? Chances are, like most, you have been here before. In this situation you may end up saying or doing actions that you do not mean, saying words meant to hurt another, sending text messages that you don’t mean, hanging up the phone or just doing a number of actions that you later regret. This happens to the best of us.
The emotions associated with this time like anger, fear and loss of control are all designed to get your attention and give you a sense of what’s going on inside; in the same sense as a fire alarm going off. So now that the fire alarm is going off inside and the fire is raging; if you try to think, say or act your way out of the situation with where your mind is now that’s like putting gasoline on the fire; so what do you do? Don’t Panic! Observe yourself and situation and realize that your trapped in an illusion created by your thoughts, further realize what’s going on is not the source of your experience which will then return you to a sense calm clarity within. Having a sense of clarity is like knowing exactly which emergency response crew that needs to be sent to put out the fire.
Ok so what about those days that for some reason you just don’t feel right inside, we all have them, and no matter what you do you just are unable to return to a sense of calm clarity within. Many times it is best to take a moment, even step away from the conversation or situation you’re finding yourself within and come back when you are feeling more collected inside. Being in a state of calm clarity within leaves you to say words and do actions that are more congruent with your inner self.
May you all be well in spirit and health.
