Greetings Everybody,
Life can become chaotic, unbalanced and difficult to make heads or tails out of anything around you. This is the same way Sydney Banks felt, in 1974 as he saw his life full of unbalanced chaos, and then something surprising happened as his life changed dramatically within moments. Sydney Banks was a Scottish welder that went from being a man plagued with anxiety and insecurity to being a man that was calm, clear and peaceful. How did this happen? Well, Sydney Banks discovered three universal principles: Mind, Consciousness and Thought. With these three principles he found a peaceful state of mind and went on through his teachings to help many others find the same.
This was a very profound moment for not only Sydney himself but for all those that hear about this event and choose to understand what transformation took place within Sydney. Sydney went from feeling all the anguish and confusion of life with all of its weighed down thinking that we all face and in a matter of moments he came across the three universal principles and his life no longer was a whirlwind.
Sydney Banks described the three principles; all three elements – Mind, Consciousness and Thought – the lifeline to our very existence. It is through these three elements that we have the power to realize the very existence of life. So what does this all mean? Well as Sydney explains -Mind is the intelligence of all things; Consciousness makes you aware; and Thought is like the rudder of a ship. It guides you through life, and if you learn to use that rudder properly you can guide your way through life far better than you ever imagined. (Banks, 1998, Neill, 2013)
What Sydney Banks found in his enlightening experience was that we live in a world that is dominated by the creation of our own thought. So if we learn to stop fighting ourselves and others around us about what to think but transform our thinking to realize it is coming from the inside out we can be calm, clear and peaceful. (Neill, 2013)
If you find what I have discussed resonates with you and would like to discuss Sydney Banks or the three principles and the meaning of each let’s have a chat.
May you all be well in spirit and health.
