Greetings Everybody,
As we near this year’s holiday season I would like to share a discovery I came across by finding a much larger meaning behind an old holiday classic, “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” written by Romeo Muller and produced by Rankin/Bass Productions. For many years I have enjoyed and known of this holiday classic that I’m mentioning however this year I discovered and insight concerning a deeper meaning to one of the songs within the movie, “Put One Foot in Front of the Other” lyrics by Jules Bass.
The song begins by showing an encounter between Kris Kringle “Santa” and Winter, where Winter is wanting to change from being mean and despicable but feels its so difficult if not impossible to do so. Kris having a sense of clarity concerning the situation explains to Winter that to truly change it’s as simple as taking the first step, by simply putting one foot in front of the other soon you’ll be walking out the door and reaching your goal.
As with many of us even we find ourselves feeling lost and confused even stuck in a rut at times throughout life. When we’re in a low mood and having low mood thoughts it can be perceptively difficult to break the cycle. However this holiday classic has the message clear and simple meant for kids, but aren’t we all just big kids inside looking for guidance, if we want a change of direction in our life, our time of life is right now. We have to get up, stand, put one foot forward and soon we’ll be achieving our goals.
